It is least invasive procedure for obesity also known as laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB). Laparoscope and other tiny instruments are passed in abdomen through 4-5 tiny cuts of 2cm size. An adjustable band is attached to top portion of stomach and a small pouch is made. Small pouch holds only little amount of food so you can feel full after eating very little. As the name suggests the gastric band is adjustable so size of the stomach pouch can be adjusted.
